  • Tart and under ripe. clearly not the pick of the litter when it came to grape selection. will not get better with any age.

  • Not what I expected. I've recently tasted Drouhin's village Puligny and even though it was more developed, it was a better wine. This lacked complexity and fruit character. Everything else was great - balance, acidity and citrus - really just missed an edge or typical flavors of Puligny.

  • Medium straw. Slightly reticent acacia dominated nose, citrus notes, not very generous, slight hint of soil. Lemony, floral fruit on the palate, again lacking intensity and even perhaps a little cheesy, welcome fresh acidity but a shortish finish. Nice enough if not overly interesting or memorable.

  • Medium straw. Reticent on nose at first, opened up to reveal lemon and slight herbal note. Crisp, taut and racy on the palate, intense citrus mid-palate, a slightly honeyed edge to the background creamy oak which comes out more on the lingering, crisp finish. Very good.

  • Dinner and wine (Chicago): Golden. A couple hours of decanting really brought this to life on the nose. Very floral and herbal with ripe yellow fruits underneath. Very full and lowish in acid (not lacking acid, just not crisp) on the palate, with tons of flavor and concentration which carried over into the finish. Lovely wine, and if it weren't for the premox issue with white burgs, bottles like this would make me a convert.
