Popped and poured. For the price point, this was excellent. Fruit was a bit muted, with some blackberry with a smooth finish. It got a little better as the night went on (in the glass), although it remained corked throughout the night.

Got the cherry cola and vanilla like the last tasting, but you could really smell the alcohol. Overall, a very decent little red for the price - went quite nicely with the chili we ate it with. Worth having three or four bottles around the house for company.

Nose of cherry cola, old dusty leather, a bit of vanilla. As it opened up it became surprisingly Rhone-like, giving off an autumnal smokiness, a smell of burning leaves. Had some classic Tempranillo spice at first but became rather Syrah-like. Gentle tannins, light-bodied, but a rather impressive wine for $10. A great QPR to have around as an every day drinker.

Tannins seemed a bit more pronounced at the onset, but it settled down into a nice finish with smoke and leather.
