Really dark color- almost black. Really youthful given its age. Plum, menthol, violets, and dark cherry on the nose. Rich mouthfeel. Spicy on the palate with dark fruit but good freshness. Drinkable. Interesting. Not your typical Barbera, so it was difficult to guess.

Popped & poured. Dark ruby/garnet in color. Intense nose of tar, spices, cedar, and black fruits. Juicy, bright notes of black raspberries on the palate, followed by hints of coffee and toasty oak. Sharp acidity on the finish. Very nice.

Generous, concentrated and long. Delicious. Some funkiness on opening that blew off quickly. Still youthful.
