Not as good as the 2007 version in the cellar, but still fine for the price. Medium garnet red, tending purple. Some barnyard on the nose, followed by sweet plums and spice. Peppered plums, old leather, and coffee show. Medium finish.
Cork, not decanted, served @ 16 degrees. Much better than the last time I tried this, when the wine showed quite hot on the finish. This was much smoother, nice balance and easy drinking. Not a Grand Vin of course, but a diverting Rhone and pretty good value. Drink up.
