Mature Bordeaux. Probably past it's prime, but still drinking very well. Compared nicely with 2007 Tamarack Debrul Vineyard reserve, Bordeaux blend from Washington state.

Chocolate, dark spices, blackberries and cream de cassis right out of the bottle, but 3 hours later the fruit was in rapid decline. Excellent wine but at this point (26 years past the vintage) do not decant. Significant shoulder stain, although sediment was minimal.

An amazing bottle/case I got for $34 a bottle! Drinking great still. Completely integrated with solid fruit holding well...

Def past prime :( probably amazing 4-5 years ago. Plenty of tertiary characteristics but not enough fruit left to carry the wine. Drink up.
