  • Not a vineyard that you see much; mostly contolled by Jadot. Cork was in good shape. The bottle was opened and allowed to air after a small pour for two hours. The wine was still a little burly, so I gave the bottle a gentle decant 30 minutes before dinner. There was some sediment. Color was an intense black cherry red and still quite youthful. Nose immediately spoke of aged Burgundy. Unfortunately the palate didn't deliver on the promise. The grip relaxed by dinner leaving a robust wine with some red/black fruits, leather and sous bois. But the wine needed more tartness and a dash of minerality would not have been amiss. Not a bad wine, just a little simple
