Double decanted four hours before dinner. Threw a ton of sediment. Opaque dark ruby, my little taste showed it to be very firm, nose reticent, just waking up after a 21-year sleep. Decanted at the restaurant, gave it another 30 minutes before first pour. Nose really opened, aromas of fresh muddled blackberry, pencil box, a touch of eucalyptus. Nice. Firm on the palate, black/blue fruit, tannins resolved but still quite present, balanced with the acid giving a mouthwatering zesty finish. Reminded me of a ‘96 Cos d’Estournel I had awhile ago. Excellent wine.

Drinking beautifully. Significant step up from a bottle drunk in '19. elegant fruit and secondary flavors. Happy to have a few more. Drink or hold
