Very nice. Earthy, moucha dark fruit nose, with nice raspberry fruit and plum on the palate with a mellow, medium finish. Will try more wines from this producer and Washington.

This was a very pleasant surprise! Dark garnet, with a nose of rich black fruit, the palate was an explosive combination of blackberry, dark chocolate and bramble, with a long polished finish. Balanced and nuanced, this juice was the result of good fruit, appropriate terroir and a winemaker's judicious use of oak and skill in bringing out the best of Washington's perfect climate for Merlot. Loved it!

Walker's Newport Tasting (The Spiced Pear): 9/14/09: Smoky, rich nose. Nice on the palate, a little too much. 87-88
4/6/09: Rich. Tasty, with a nice lush mouth feel. Very nice, but the price is too much in this market. 88+
