In that spot where aged development and tiredness can sort of merge, there is certainly a wallop of ripe tropical fruit, overripe golden pineapple. Possibly botrytis, in a pleasant way, but I’m a bad judge of that. Deeply flavourful and delicious, if no longer super electric and sharp.

At Singer & Foy survey of '89 Raveneau. Bright, light straw color. Decent buttery fruit. Flinty. Palate is full and expansive. Long finish. Crisp acidity. 5-10-16-7: 88/100.

Others liked this more than I did. Like the 01 Mont Mains the fruit character is too exotic and atypical for me.
