Tastes like a barrel sample and it's 6 years old. The 100% new oak and howel mtn fruit must be the reason even though it's from the 2003. When I opened the bottle their was none at all. After 24 hours it started to develop a nose. Still very tannic and young I would not drink my last bottle for at least another 5 years. With 15 years of age it might finally ready it's peak if the fruit holds that long. Considering the large amount of fruit it currently has may allow it to age for the 15 years.

My trip to Napa, Part 3: Tasting at Outpost and dinner at Terra (Napa Valley, California, USA): A nose of olive and cassis. Lots of barrel spice from the 100% new oak treatment, moving to black currant. Nothing too moving here.
