Aged well. Sour lemon, almond, fig, apple, and honey on the nose. Slightly oxidized pineapple and apple on the palate with more fig, light banana, apricot, wax, and lemon rind. Drank at cellar temp. Olive oil texture.

I think L'Ecole is producing some world class semillon. Man they are good young but so much more when aged a bit. This wine had the lemon zest, that I really recognize in the fries vineyard but it's not the leading note at this stage. It's surrounded with, apricots, figs, a very cool slight oxidize quality with some kind of flinty thing going on and some mixed nuts too. On the palate it drinks like a viognier with it's weight but without the presence of any oak influence. Was beautiful to sip or pair with several cheeses. Dynomite wine!
