    Dinner with Robert Parker at his house in San Francisco (no, not that RP). Started with this wine before dinner on a not so hot CA summer afternoon. Very heavy oak, up front and throughout. Citrus and lemon components with some vanilla. Overall, the oak dominated and was an awful match for the first course (citrus salad), but seemed to go well with the second (I can’t recall what this was).
