  quick double decant. Dark colour, with some bricking. Once it opened up revealing a heady nose, primary fruit still evident but now showing some secondary flavours. Maraschino cherry, dark/burnt chocolate. well-integrated tannins with medium heft. Long finish

  Just terrific an hour after opening. Smooth, generally agree with Sycamore but a bit higher score. Still has a few years left, but certainly at its peak. And, nothing like the dupe James Suckling said in his WS review.

  Nice stuff here. Still fairly youthful-looking. Decent aromatics -- nothing special there, actually. At its best on the palate. Very well balanced. In a good place fruit-wise; late secondary components for the most part. Great texture. Now +5 years.
