  • Truly a wine that did not disappoint. I went touring in Wilamette in Sept. 2007 trying pinot noir everywhere I went. At the tasting room of Ken Wright I, somewaht relucantly tried this pinot blanc, mostly because I had never had this varietal before. I was knocked over by the sample. It was one of few wines I tasted on this trip that I knew instantly I had to purchase.
Drank 11/2007. I was concerned to try it with my wife because I had built it up as one of the tastiest from my trip. Lived up to every memory of the original tasting! The bouquet is citrus and mellon as is the first tasting to the tounge. Where it gets suprising is the finish: I, and my wife, kept wating for a sharp acidic ending but it curiously turns floral and lush. Not oaky or buttery but something as I can only explain as rose and peony. Went great with thanksgiving leftovers!

  • A mesmerizing complex nose of white flowers, lime, quince, and fresh cream. Palate is packed with flavors, pear, peach, lime, vanilla, cream, honey, and more. Full body is perfectly balanced with moderate alcohol (12%) and fresh, crisp, lemony acidity. The finish echoes on and on.

Tasted June 17, 2007 at The Painted Lady in Newberg. Tasted from 375ml. Opened and served immediately. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of waxy pear, a touch of lychee and a little wet stone. Flavors of pears, lychee and minerals. Also notes some citrus notes and maybe some tropical fruit notes. Light to medium acidity and body. Drink now.
