Medium gold in color, leesy, nutty, with lemon zest, herbs, and smoky oak notes. Tropical fruit and lemon more prominent on the palate, with a fairly long mineral driven finish. Quite nice.

Surprisingly good showing for an aged Kistler, as these wines have proven quite variable in their ability to hold up over time, even in a cold cellar. Really beautifully balanced with citrus, mineral, toasted brioche, tropical fruit, and caramelized nuts. More Burgundian in style but with a California flare.
