Bricking now. While I thought it was really nice, I think this bottle might be a little bit over the hill. I *think* it's a tad bit oxidative. It smells really great - tobacco and smoke. There is a little bit of red berry fruit. The acidity is quite robust. We had this with pasta and pesto sauce (a strange pairing but it kind of worked, I might even say well....). It has a long pleasant tangy finish. There might be just a little bit of a cough drop kind of effect to it.
This is my last bottle, but if I had more I'd go ahead and drink them.

I picked up a couple of these on close out for $24 about 6 years ago. First bottle a few months ago was just ok. Popped and poured at a BYO and it was really singing. Got even better after 45 minutes opened. Certainly not my favorite vintage, but this was worth more than I paid...

Aranciato marroncino... da barbaresco old style & vintage. Anche al naso è già bello terziarizzato... ancora piu che bevibile, ma in fase calante. Tannino rustico e un pó arrostito, ma tutto sommato ci sta!! Chiusura di pelle e cuoio. Credo che con un bel piatto di ossobuco, sia molto piu piacevole che "liscio"

Wine was DOA. Tasted like an Amarone with no finish. Nice bouquet, retasted over a few hours and the finish never improved.
