Wow. This wine is in a beautiful place right now. Excellent nose. Mouthfeel is a beautiful balance of sweet fruit with to accommodate and cedar. A slight tannic grip. Still could age even longer I believe though it wont great any better. Drink it up and enjoy.

This poor wine had the misfortune to be opened and tasted right next to the 2004 Paul Hobbs Beckstoffer Dr. Crane cab of the same vintage and while it was nice, very nice in fact, it really suffered in comparison.
Medium weight, it showed the characteristic "Rutherford bench dust" with maturing dark fruits and oak as backdrops. Much more straightforward than the PH, it was balanced and enjoyable but lacked all the many extra dimensions of the other wine.

Just gorgeous -- still drinking very well, but it's been in a cooler than average cellar. Fruit is a less pronounced than it was, but the '04 is as integrated as it will ever be, with enough structure to make this a perfect mid-week steak wine.
