Medium yellow. Ripe, spiced yellow apple with moderate sweetness that is easy enough to like and drink. Much as it was 5 years ago, which is to say wanting more complexity and tension. That said, it did show more slate the next day.

"Iron-infused, red slate soil..." in this Vyd which "...is so steep that stone steps were built into the hillside long ago to help workers reach the vines."
N: Honey, peaches, with undertones of petrol?
P: MF body; RNDISH entry with LOVELY, SWTISH frt nicely balanced by acidity. The finish is LONG & with an aspect that encourages either another sip or bite of food. OUTSTANDING stuff! :) 8.0% ABV; My EXC+, poss EXC+/Exceptional-. 94 pts Wine & Spirits Magazine, and 92 ea WS & WE @ $30.

Medium yellow. Ripe apple and peach with a bit of honey. Larger boned than typical Mosel Spätlese, moderately sweet. Easy, tasty, but let's be honest, not a great deal of slate, acidity, or brightness. Fully expressed.

Color: Quite bright and youthful. Nose: Firestone, a hint of fruit. Mouth: Consistent with the nose. The acidity is still quite vibrant but well integrated. A wine with residual sugar. 8% alc. My scoring might be a bit low but I am not a big fan of this style even though the quality is there.
