No rating yet. On opening, cork came out a little too easily. Nose of off sherry notes. Orange yellow color, wine tasted fairly off, far on its way to being vinegar. Far beyond its prime. Second bottle opened identical. Will test again in a few hours.

Enjoyed over 7 days. Cork soaked completely through. Beautiful burnished gold. Huge, lusty, baked apple, baby powder and baking spice nose. Blazing, mouthwatering acidity leads the attack, fairly obliterating the meyer lemon oriented mid palate which flows seamlessly to the quite long (but a bit diffuse), lip smacking, mouthwatering finish. Plenty of lovely botrytis here, with apricot kernel bitterness balancing the sublime, fully integrated yellow (pineapple, carambola, etc) fruit and remnants of sweetness (this is completely dry at this point). Beginning to thin after the 5th day, but still going strong, showing plenty of remaining life. Some might say the acidity pokes through a bit much on this, but I love it! This is in the "mystic" realm of maturity the guys at MFW speak of and reminds me of a 59 Staatsweinguter spatlese I enjoyed immensely in 2004. Brilliant plus! 94pts pure quality, 97pts personal preference.

Light golden colour. Only very slight hints of petrol in the aroma. Rich intense fruit; flavours of green apple and lime. Starts off seeming like it might be sweet, but finishes with some tartness. Overall a very nice wine that has held up well.

Corked but you could still experience the intensity of the fruit.
