03.02.2024 - Lameeya Pre-CNY dinner ushering the Wood Dragon. My bonus dessert bottle to usher in ‘Tien Tien Mi Mi’ 🧧for everyone. Nose: aromas of honey, dried apricot, used teabags, marmalade & tropical fruits. Palate: plenty of decadent tropical fruit with rather luscious sweetness but left me wanting a brighter acidity to give this more freshness & structure. Finish is still lingering with a touch of Christmas spice

A very unusual vintage. Caramel color and caramel taste. Lots of dark honey and caramel notes, ripe apricot and orange zest. Round and full in the mouth. It's probably lacking freshness and vibrancy for greatness but who cares when you have this full-bodied pleaser. The perfect match for a crème brulée!

Piers Vacher Master and clerks -1998 Chateau Rieussec Was this really 1988? It certainly looked far yellower than 1998, but it seemed that even my luck couldn't be running to such historic nectar. Either way the lemon and passion fruit tart stood no chance, and was passed over to enjoy the sweetly perfect nectar alone.

Spring Livery Lord Robertson Rich caramel colour in glass (too big). Big fruit on the nose, toffee apple. So much fruit in the mouth with lovely acidity and balance. lychee, sherbet with a very long, pleasant, drying finish. As if made for that tart.
