Lovely nose of red fruit, underwood, cherries, and spices. Good acidity with tart berries and medium weight on the palate. Nice finish. A great Beaujolais made in a more Burgundian style that has aged beautifully. There are no signs of decline whatsoever, I would love to see how this continues to evolve with time...

This is one of those wines that confounds the 100 point scoring scale. Is it a 100 point wine? nah. There are wines, plenty of ‘me, that are more complex, more profound, more weighty, etc. But do I want anything more from a 14 year-old Fleurie than what is in this bottle? Hell no. There’s soft red fruit, some florals, velvety palate presence. Just great stuff that continues to drink beautifully and seems in no danger of decline anytime soon.

Pretty incredible - this is very juicy and primary, but in a fresh forest strawberry kind of way. I've had a few 05 burgs this year that are already venturing well into the earthy part of their development so this really stands up well as a great wine to drink slightly chilled on a warm spring day. Seems like it has much life left despite its delicacy but highly recommended to enjoy now.

(Coudert Fleurie Clos de la Roilette) Dark red violet color; torrefaction, roasted beef, char, reduction nose; tart roasted beef, tart black fruit, currant, torrefaction, mineral, char, beef blood palate; medium-plus finish
(Coudert Fleurie Clos de la Roilette) Bricking medium dark red violet color; tart currant, iodine, mineral nose; iodine, tart plum, currant palate; medium finish
(Coudert Fleurie Clos de la Roilette) Dark red violet color with pale meniscus; tart plum, herbaceous, green bean, smoke nose; tasty, tight, tart berry, cranberry, blackberry and plum palate with depth; medium-plus finish (group's WOTF)
(CLOS DE LA ROILETTE FLEURIE) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-ripe strawberry jam, pink rubber ball aspect; TASTE-this Kills, great lushness, huge explosion, beautiful attack on the palate, this goes great w/ lighter fare (like a Pinot Noir), I love the elegance, strawberries are seducing me, beautiful oregano on mid-palate, nice dark chocolate bar; I'm really feeling this wine, (*GV takes another sip*) beautiful sourness, but SILKY finish; gorgeous; JR-90; GV-90+
(Coudert "Clos de la Roilette" Fleurie) It was good and satisfying but not great. Seemed thin and kind of hot and too grapey with not much structure. I have not liked a Coudert regular since the '02. I liked the '04 once and disliked it three times. Love the '04 Tardive.
