My last bottle. Surprisingly dark in color, such that I was concerned and put a Sauternes in the refrigerator as a backup. Not needed, this tokaji is drinking very well, with caramelly sweetness, spice and plenty of acidity remaining. This was a pleasant surprise and reminds me of the great balance in Tokaji between acidity and sugar. 92-93

I will now say the opposite of the previous cellartracker note. I started with 9 of these, and now have 2 left. I believe this wine has solidified the theory that Tokaji does not really gain a lot of complexity with age. This remains a tasty dessert wine with orange marmalade, spice, sweetness and acidity. But it hasn't really developed any complexity since I bought it in 2005. It's also starting to get a bit sharp as the fruit recedes.

Wow! This is (finally) really coming into its own. Big juicy apricot & marmelade notes supported by strong acidity that manages to balance the sweetness Outstanding dessert wine!
Have had a half dozen or so bottles over the past 6 years & enjoyed them, but never been blown away. Not sure what happened, but this was a revelation.

Incredible way to end the night of Wine Club! Drinking at its peak, and could hold another 20 years.
