This took a while to flush out and come around to being as good as the previous bottle I had. Once it gained the weight and balanced it really showed the good spices and fruit on the backend with a long finish. Beat out the 02 Perrieres next to it which seemed a bit past peak.

Have wanted to try this for a while, and it didn’t disappoint. Pours medium-light with some bricking at the edges. Needs about 20 minutes to open. Shows lots of inky, savory aromatics, plus a faint hint of barnyard. On the palate, faded black and red fruits vie for center stage with herbal notes and something a bit peppery. Good length on the finish. All in all, a very enjoyable bottle that’s ready to go. More confirmation, as well, that this site can produce excellent wines capable of aging well.

Brought a few weeks ago,and it’s in great condition. Decanted off a little sediment and left to open up for and hour or so. Medium body and a clear jewel like red, some bricking at the edge, wafts of blackcurrants, tomato leaf, nicely ripe fruit with a tasty savoury side, medium plus finish. Would love to have a few more bottles

(Breton Chinon Les Picasses) This was screaming on all cylinders. Horsey nose with lovely red fruits and an elegant palate. Concentrated with lovely ripe tannins and a long finish. Drinking great now but can go for a bit longer.
(Catherine et Pierre Breton Chinon Les Picasses) Nice Cab Franc and iron nose; light-medium bodied, remarkably resolved tannins and mature, Bordeaux-like, with olive, iron and tart cherry palate; medium finish

Sadly this bottle was a bit corked or something of that nature. It just never really showed what it should.

Lots of fine sediment. Let it stand up for a few days and give a gentle decant
