Black and red cherry throughout with plenty of earth. Opened an hour before serving, this picked up weight over the course of the next few hours. There was a faint bitter hint to start, but that also mostly faded after a couple of hours. But I still wouldn't hold this for more than another 4-5 years.

This is really starting to get into gear now with some development of the secondary characteristics - very light and lean at first but out of nowhere comes impressive depth - cherries, mushrooms and some feral elements, but all restrained within a rather poised frame. The terroir shows its limitation with a rather hollow finish after an hour of breathing, but for a village level this is impressive. Just try and not think about the price.

Some Rousseau 04's (Wine cave): I don't think the bottle's provenance was that good but the wine was still very enjoyable. Did have a slightly lean/herbal character but the palate was delicious. Great for the vintage.

Drank at Davy's
This has incredible depth and vibrancy for a village wine. Amazing.

Bright cherry nose. The palate is light bodied but pleasant with a mild herbal note.
