Ruby with some amber at the rim. Initially some barnyard, later ripe black fruit and hints of earth and toast. Medium bodied with ripe tannins and balanced acidity. Short to medium finish. Balanced and ripe, slightly austere wine. Drink now.
The smell on this is of old trees, earth and musty mold. I think they used the oak barrel this aged in one too many times. The bad smell didn't come across in the taste how ever. The taste was, well, good. An 83 is a fair score for this stuff.
