The Fourteenth Stonefields Dinner (Guelph, Ontario, Canada): The nose was dominated by fresh cut mint, lemon, dried apricot and honey. The palate was quite viscous with tropical fruits, white plum, spice and white pepper. Could us a touch more acid in my mind as it is just so big and dense. Finish was medium with moderate complexity
Tasted over 1 hr and day 2, from 375mL -translucent med gold -moderately expressive warm apricot butter caramel -barely med acidity, med- weight with unctuous texture, med sweetness, OK complexity on mid-palate but long caramel butterscotch finish -just a bit less acidity than ideal but still very good and very early in its long drinking window, great pair for roquefort
