Honey, peach, dried extract, carmalized sugar, and grilled hazelnut. Round, rich and intense on the palate with the elegance. It gained weight and complexity in the glass. Amazing old Leflaive.

From an excellent looking bottle, this wine had a deep yellow center and clear rims. The medium intensity nose took a couple of hours to develop. It showed macaroons, white stone, coriander, and a little yeasty funk.
In the mouth, this wine was slow to develop. After a few hours it was medium bodied with spectacular fine-grained acidity which gave it excellent length. It was not rich but it was ripe and attractive.
I believe this wine is just a bit over the hill and was probably a bit better 5 years ago (or it may have been the bottle but I don't think so). This was still quite good but drink up.

Started off tattered but typical with hints of dry citrus extract. With air time though, this bottle began to show its age. 89-
