Still a young wine. Bitter fruits. Dry but soft tannins. Slightly unbalanced with the alcohol showing through. Disappointing for a Grand Cru but still a good wine. Lacks character but easily drinkable.
Colour 4/ Aroma 11/ Taste 14/ Ageing 6

Made from 80 % Merlot and 20 % Cabernet franc this wine is aged in French oak for 16 to 18 months. Mid red in colour, the nose shows a lovely perfume with just a suggestion of spice. The palate is fruit driven with a little hint of vanilla and oak. Silky smooth, good structure, nice acidity and fine balance.
Tasted in the Grand Tasting at the 10th Decanter Fine Wine Encounter, Landmark Hotel, London.
