Tuesday Night Double Blind <$40 (Alpharetta, GA): Brown amber core with yellow rim; caramel, butterscotch, maple, apricots, peaches, some nuttiness, some green, pistachio; oily palate, superbly viscous, aged, brulee, burnt sugar, not fortified, not botrytis, fig, white raisin, Riccola without the herbaceous quality; called Vin de Paille others in Vin Santo; well done.

Dark orange color. Brown sugar, sage, clove and orange peel. Pretty good for his first try but it could have used more body, Good acidity to balance the sweetness. I like this but tough to drink more than one glass. Probably will go another 2-4 years but I'd drink up.

Scholium Tasting (Trestle on Tenth, NYC): interesting battle between caramel and honey -- enough acidity to prevent cloying -- finish is only medium and left me a little disappointed.
