BYO Dinner at Bumpkin, London this wine had a really rhone nose of smoke and black fruits with a little vanilla/casiss (i guess from the viogner) ...it was mouth filling and vibrant black fruits in the mouth....balance was good and it had quite a long finish..i think this wine could go on for quite a number of years

Much preferred this to the other Aussies, it seemed more balanced, despite at the same time being much more amplified. Very full acidity and some smokey rich notes. Good.

The real Jeff Erhardt / Mahaffy offline (Rôtisserie Jules, London): Dark and impregnable, this oozes crushed dark berries. A monster of a wine, it is very monolithic, a bit tiring on the palate and with a finish I can only describe as cured meat. I could only have very little of this wine.

Very silky, fleshy wine, tight, a hint of mint.
