Beautiful bouquet with red berries, a lot of garrigue and some earth. On the palate ripe fruits, herbs and spices, some barnyard, fresh acidity and soft tannin. Medium length. Not extremely concentrated, but a beautiful and elegant wine. Completely ready now, but also no great hurry.

Smoke, meat, and pepper on nose and tongue, tannins strong, not breaking down; moderate viscosity and finish. Decanted 4 hours before pour; drinking well after 22 years. Stored 56F since mid-90s purchase.

Pégaü vertical tasting (Graz, Austria): Medium ruby, brilliant, medium tears. Very fine nose, light roasted coffee beans. Plump body, bit hot, alcoholic dark fruit. Long finish, hot velvety.
Score: 50 + 4 for optic + 14 for bouquet + 16 for taste + 7 for overall = total score of 91.

Beautiful bouquet with herbs and spices. Same on the palate, still beautiful acidity, chocolate and good juice. A great pleasure still.
