A disappointing offering from Concannon. Aging did no favors for this acidic version of Syrah. Concannon should have been able to produce a better product. Storage was not an issue, as it was well tended and kept. Certainly does not live up to its marketing label.

I am very fond of Concannon's Petit Sirah and to a lesser extent their Cabernet Sauvignon. This Syrah, however, was a disappointment. I would not buy it again.

Thought I'd try this as I really like the Limited Petite Syrah 05. Didnt see this was 03 until drinking. Its not horrible for the price, but I wouldnt buy again. Medium body, but absolutely no finish, the wine just falls off. Fruit is fading too on the mid palate. Well you shouldnt be holding any of these for sure and look at the vintage before you buy any! I assummed our grocer would be up to date....

Ruby purple color. Nose of red rasperry, green pepper. Medium heavy mouthfeel, high sweetness masks the tannicity, but the sweetness fades as it breaths. Old world flavor, fruity, sweet red rasperry and pepper. Clean finish with just a little bit of tartness. Worth the bottle since I liked the petite syrah so much, but I can still find better bottles in this price range.
