From an excellent bottle with a 2 cm fill, this wine had a light yellow center and clear rims. The medium+ intensity nose put forth citrus, white stone, vanilla, and a hint of iodine.
in the mouth, this went through several stages. It was best after 5+ hours of air. It was very light and creamy in the mouth with great acidity and length.
Fortunately, very few people realize how good this wine can be and, thus, they are not trying to outbid me at auction. This wine is going strong and will last at last at this level for at least 5+ years.

Tasted blind, this wine had a medium yellow center and clear rims. The medium+ intensity nose took several hours to develop as this wine was pretty subtle at first. Afterward, it showed apple, vanilla, citrus, lychee nut, and white stone.
In the mouth, this wine was rich and ripe at first but lacked some spine. Fortunately, complexity and the acidity developed nicely over then course of 5 hours of air. This helped the wine's finish move from being pretty good to outstanding.
This wine appears to be right in the zone and is likely to stay there for 5-10 years. Enjoy with extended aeration!

Very good showing tonight, clean concentrated stone fruits with pretty texture and minerals. More about the nuances and richness. Surprisingly young both visually and on the palate. Still may still get better with time, but alas my last bottle.

Post-Krug Dinner (House 406 - Northbrook IL): Orchard fruit with slightly sweet spice. Rich and ripe with enough structure to retain great balance and freshness. Very good length and power with an expanding finish. Best now.

La Fête de La Paulée in Chicago (Formento's - Chicago IL): Small glass, brief note. Ripe peach and apple, nicely mature. Very good length and clearly showing Grand Cru density, but this is losing complexity as it ages.
