  • Drinking very well right now. The fruit had certainly subsided but the secondary flavors are showing well. Well made and glad to see central coast wines aging this well. Depending on your palate, this could be aged longer. Really nice stuff.

  • Very soft and smooth. Near end of life but still very enjoyable. Has matured nicely. Too bad Sashi isn't make this blend these days.

  • Age has done well with this one!. Elegant describes it well. Fruit has held up nicely, but is not overpowering. Nicely balanced, very smooth. Aerated and decanted 1 hr. Great wine!, especially since this was a very early vintage from this winery.

  • We had this with grilled lamb chops and a side of veggies. It was nice but a little light for the lamb. It had a bit of a light spicy taste with light fruit. The Tannins are settled down now and I'd drink it now, otherwise the fruit is starting to go. Probably not the best food pairing on my part.

  • Opened this bottle while helicopters were circling overhead barking out instructions for the suspect to surrender.

No decanting and drank 2 glasses over 2 hours.

Initial nose muted but did have some spice and grilled meat notes. On the palate, initial bright red fruits like strawberry and raspberry with some dark chocolate, along with grilled meat. The 2 flavors of fruit and chocolate seemed distinct and not really integrated until glass 2. Glass two was more integrated but the fruit was sort of dominated by the meat and chocolate notes. Finish was a little short. 86-87 pts. $12.99
