Drunk at the family reunion on Lake Michigan last week. This was one of my favourite bubblies at the reunion, and we drank quite a few. Delicate floral strawberry and spicy yeast roll aromas, as well as raspberry, gala apple, ginger, and fig flavours. A cool climate rosé made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a minimum of 15% aged reserve, and a minimum of 18 months ageing on the yeast. Rated 93 by Wine Spectator. Delish.
Wines At My Table; Week of February 1, 2015; 1/23/2015-2/1/2015: Pretty pink color with an orange hue, and a fine bead. Show aromas of strawberry cream, raspberry, and ginger. On the palate, it's dry with a soft mousse and tart raspberry, strawberry, ginger and blood orange aromas. Blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. At least 15% reserve lots. Good value!
Another solid showing. This bottle was 4 years old and fresh as a daisy. I'm not sure why this couldn't age much longer. Personal preference, wish it was a little lighter on the fruit but that's really a style preference thing.
