Had this a few days ago and again was not impressed, as it didn't really seem to have many savennieres characteristics. This may have been slightly corked, though, so I'll defer judgement (B-).

Nice deep honey color and pleasant aromas orange marmalade and toast. Nevertheless, the flavors were a little too bitter for me - marmalade and a smoky, bitter oak aftertaste.

Old World Grab Bag (Dino Restaurant, Washington, DC): Honey and light apple nose with some kind of slight medicinal tinge, lighter bodied, citrus and toasted bread on the mid-palate, drier on the finish. A little less curvy than others from the blind flight with similar flavor profiles (which also turned out to be Chenin Blanc) but still very feminine.

Classic - although a bit richer than I expected. Probably the Pithon style.

Blind OLD WORLD GRAB BAG - Dino Restaurant (Washington, DC): Nose of citrus, honeysuckle, furry funk. On the palate there was citrus, honeysuckle, funky minerality and still good acidity.
