Having had this wine occasionally over the years, always expecting it to be ready after additional three years or so, I have to concede that it still has not fully come around. A dark core with a slight orange rim. It's the nose where you get most of the wine today: Sweet confected maraschino cherry and raspberry, high-toned and pure, accompanied by notions of rocks, treebark and something balsamic. Early burgundy magic peeking out. In the mouth the wine is flavourful (stony!), energetic, structured and long, yet it is not fully developed and a bit too tart to be truly enjoyed on its own - with a hearty dish this is probably different. However, the wine seems on track to evolve into something special. 2025?

This was a bit burly upon opening with dark cherry fruit, spices and a ton of terroir (aka dirt!). Drank 2/3 of the bottle. 2 days later it was reopened. Much more refined and nuanced airy some more delicate flavors coming to the front.

Tasted blind. Interesting and quite elegant nose of nose of cherries and maybe some underwood. Good structure and well balanced with slightly darker fruit notes than the nose suggested. Nice finish.

Gorgeous burgundy at absolute prime. Crushed raspberries and some light terroir flavors of spice, game and earth. Only knock is a slightly hollow mid-palate but the fruit was quite stunning.

At last a ‘real burgundy’ emerges- would appear that this wine needed some time. Lovely secondary characters emerging. Not overly complex but it has ‘it’ which only a quality Burgundy has.
