GHW, Yarden, Cabernet Sauvignon 2003: So, seems that this wine has finally gone over the hill but it remains interesting and enjoyable nonetheless. Dark garnet towards purple in color with a light red brick hue at the edges of the rim. On the nose, very ripe black fruit such as blackberries and cherries with notes of dates, figs and cinnamon. Full-bodied, with on the palate sweet blackberries, figs and dried strawberries as well as plums followed by hints of red jalapeño, earth with medium-plus acidity and soft tannins highlighting some vanilla on the moderately long finish. 14.5% Abv. 90-91

(Yarden Cabernet Sauvignon) #2; COLOR-dark; NOSE-really nice Kirsch Royale, beautiful chocolate & dark cherries; polished, Classic Cab; little Oak Monster; TASTE-some really nice sour cherry flavors; very polished; reminds me of the Justin Cab (from Ep. #322); really vibrant fruit; flavor of Raspberry jam w/ Hazel nut; cedar box w/ hint of tobacco; very polished; litter alcohol coming on the finish; very solid; DR-92; GV-89+
