  • With some air time open, this fills out its initially thin frame to show some fruit on the body and some herbal aromas to complement its cherry scents. It's enjoyable enough as a light burgundy, but almost certainly not worth the cellar time it took to get to this stage, as the wine was, to me, overly acidic for far too long.

  • Well, after all these years, this has sort of come around! Attractive raspberry and sour cheery fruit in the aromas, with some spice accents. The fruit on the palate has fleshed out enough to make this a pleasant medium-light weight wine on the palate, but slightly grainy tannins are more powerful than the fruit. It drinks well enough, but not worth cellaring for 9 years to get to this point!

  • Slight cork taint but blew off with air time. Colour light ruby, not deep. Fairly straightforward nose, raspberries, red currants, a touch of spice, not turning secondary. Also reasonably straightforward but attractive, slightly sweet expression on the palate. Ripe enough, just below medium weight, with tannins integrated and acids in balance. Well made with good underlying material. Good Bourgogne-level wine, just lacking sufficient complexity, flavour profiles and development (for a 2002) to be very interesting. To drink over the next few years, I would not expect it to improve. 88.

  • This has started to come around. It's still a bit thin, but the fruit has woken up and given it a bit of a buffer. Still not terribly successful, but not as difficult as it once was.

  • I liked this, but this is still a bit closed I think. Would expect some positive evolution with more time.
