  • I'd drink this sooner than later. Big autolytics, some oxidation. Rich and dense, with a bracing mineral core.

  • Anniversary dinner @ Bouchon. No formal notes taken; from memory. Clean yeasty, minerally nose with good, but not exceptional, depth. Clean mineraly fruit with good attack and mouthfilling flavor of lean citrus and minerals, with a hint of green apple. Very good acid. Nice complexity. Tastes like a Gr Cru, but in the lean, clean, austere style. Sommelier was pleasantly surprised, as he was unfamiliar with Agrapart and remarked on the lean, angular minerality. Seemed still young. Great with the seafood platter, particularly the oysters.

  • Pulled from Vinotemp and partially chilled in freezer - drank from Riedel vinum flutes. Neighbor begged the bottle on short notice. Notes from memory. Big, fat, round Chardonnay fruit. Sweetish green apple. Good mousse but not excessive or super fine. Good acid, but not as much as is usually the house style and not enough for me. Not the best Agrapart I've had, but a classy big fruited bubbly. Guessing it might get better in terms of secondary flavors in a few years, but didn't seem to have enough acid to go for much longer.

  • Red Carpet: Lemon cake & light yeast; lite bitter intense dry fin. Blanc de Blancs most likely.
