Cork had bled through and also broke when being removed. Wine was tired and not great, but still worth drinking. This has been a chronic problem in my experience with Sattui, especially when not shipped in the early spring or late fall.

Decanted for over an hour, but it opened up even more after 15 minutes in the glass. Deep reddish-purple color. Big, bold nose held lots of dark fruit, a bit of vanilla, and a distinct but pleasant eucalyptus note. Rich and lush flavors of dark berries, some earthiness, a little menthol. Nicely balanced, mouth-filling tannins - just right. Long, pleasing finish. Outstanding with filet mignon w/ cabernet shallot reduction and roasted green beens in tarragon garlic mustard sauce. Wish we had more :-(

Drinking fine. Medium bodied has matured nicely.

Great nose full of plum and cherry. Very smooth and maybe a little loss of the overwhelming fruit from the first bottle

Great nose. Classical Rutherford cabernet flavors. very nice finish. Best when first opened, but not significantly different later. Yum.
