First time with this St Emilion GC. At 17yrs this is still full throttle. Needs at least a good 39-45 min to one up. Then it comes out very balanced. Very merlot without that leathery feeling of older Bordeaux. Medium body, medium length. Well done. Who ever has it, no worries for the next 5-7 years
Very classic right-bank Bordeaux. Complex dark fruit (dark cherry, cassis, black currants) on the nose and palate with a touch of smoke. After 2 hours in the decanter it started to show off, but very restrained right out of the bottle. Wouldn't wait any longer. Drink up.
