Found this on the back shelf and thought I'd give it a try since it was an 02. Holding up very well for a grocery store wine. Good concentration of blue fruits and some maple syrup, maybe a lil chocolate too. At the end of the glass you get a really cool coco meets lite black licorice bouquet. Very cool. The nose on the end of the glass was better then the wine itself but overall it was a very good wine.

Inaugural (Blind) Tasting, Puget Sound Tasters Club. (Tacoma, WA.): This was the sleeper of the night. I snuck this basic Washington Merlot in the flight to see what kind of reaction I would get from these expert palates. Surprisingly, this wine did very well. Very nice bouquet and smooth tannins for normally low-range wine.
