Obviously somewhat past it's prime, but still drinking very nice. The fruit is still there, but not in a big Zin kinda way. Lots of spice notes (cedar?) on the palate. A beautiful nose. I've always thought that older Turley Zins start to taste a little like aged claret (Bordeaux), and this one definitely did.

Opened and poured. Cuvee direct from winery and impeccably stored since release. Loads of sediment and stuff clinging to the side of the bottle. A thinnish watery consistency of glycol esters. Barnyard funk on the nose hiding any semblance to zinfandel here. Sweet almost acrid acidity on the palate, showing tart reds that soak the senses. With air the barn is blowing off a bit, and more lively cherry coke and strawberry notes reveal themselves. Hard to tell this is a zin honestly. An off bottle for Turley I think, as this is not the quality I expect - will have to follow-up with Larry to get a refund. Turning more sour and thin after a day under vac-u-vin....one of the weakest Turley's I have had.

excellent aged turley again. not overly ripe, brambles over black fruit. spicy mid with some sweeter plum and pepper. the finish is medium but that would be my only gripe. drink in the near future. delicious.

Still drinking very well, with nice soft red fruit. Confirms that at least some of the Turleys can age with proper storage.

Excellent aged Turley zin. Still had nice fruit, but with the added depth that can come with age.
