Dark dark red, with plum, blueberry, blackberry liquor, alcohol, and a whiff of smoke. Pretty fat and boozy, mostly up front fruit, then alcohol, then a moderate finish. Enjoyable, but not as good as I'd hoped.
Surprisingly evolved for a 10 year old petite sirah. Very dark purple, medium bodied with some nice spice notes. Very fine tannins on the short finish. A well made and enjoyable wine, but not a great one.
Okay but not as good as last bottle drank about 6 months ago. Seemed out of balance with acidity taking center stage. Was better with the food (grilled wild duck breast strips marinated in oyster sauce and garlic)
