  • Looks like Madeira at this point. The nose is a sappy combination of yellow raisin, fig, pear nectar, and preserved lemon. It’s medium bodied, and the acid is still kicking nicely. It’s juicy and modest, but helps the refine retain freshness despite the significant residual sugar. Flavors include preserved apricot, yellow plum, sweet orange, lemon zest, and strawberry. I’m sure it’s a bit over the hill, but it’s damn good.

  • A bit of a surprise. Had a beautiful golden appearance with aromas of lanolin/wax and pear. Quite palate coating with an almost oily texture but beautiful intense fruit and floral flavours. The alcohol was perhaps a little noticeable on the finish but a delicious wine to have at the end of a meal.
