Special bouquet with acidity, toast and figs. On the palate a lot of red berry fruits, garrigue, currants and chocolate. Firm acidity. Concentrated wine with a lot of freshness. Would like to taste again. No score for today.
Very rich and dark, with intense ripe plum fruit, charcoal and borders on syrupy. This is a pure fruit bomb but manages to stay on the right side of the syrup line due to tannins and a hint of acidity on the finish. Fans of this style will score it higher.
Wanted to checkout how this was aging. Medium plus ruby color leads to a big nose of tea leaf, raspberry, and herb. Body is starting to show some secondary flavors of forest floor and spice while still remaining very fresh. Beautiful finish lasted 40 seconds. This really opened up and sang after 3 hours in the decanter. Really good with another 10 years of life I expect.
--- COLOR: Ruby-garnet, brilliant NOTE: Nose is ripe, port-like red raspberry/strawberry, tobacco, very sweet. Mouth is medium-heavy dried strawberry, leather & tobacco. The finish loses the richness, but still has fruit. Good 30+ second finish.
