  Continues to show a bit too much oak for my liking. Thought less so than the bottle drank 2-3 years ago. Plenty of spice, power and darkish sorts of fruits. A very exhuberrant and gulpable wine, though not necessarily grand cru in complexity.
  
  WIll keep my last bottle for another 5 years to see what happens to it... MAy well be like Guigal (needing 25+ years to really sing).

  Acker Merrall Second Chicago Auction (Elysian Hotel - Chicago IL): Popped and poured. Good red fruit with some earthy character. Somewhat advanced for a 1993. Not much spice or texture to support the fruit, making this very simple in every way. Good wine, but not showing Grand Cru character.
