Picked this up just a few years ago, so didn't know how it had been stored before that. Kept on its side for 2 years in the chiller. Taken to a local french spot, popped and enjoyed with escargot in a pesto/garlic sauce followed by a thick veal chop and in sauce with various designer mushrooms. Absolutely heaven. Cork was saturated but expertly removed in one piece by our server. Great Martha's eucalyptus nose, mild but so distinguished. Clean subtle fruit, completely integrated tannins, just went down too easily with all four of us.....seems like it would last longer but I'd hate to sacrifice any further loss in flavor profile. Drink up!
