Amber color. Aromas of baked bread, caramel, citrus, cocoanut, apple, cooked barley. Unusually tangy and fat and dry on arrival, a profile unfamiliar to me for domestic dry white wines; reminds me of well-aged Zind-Humbrecht VT pinot gris. Spicy and slightly sour in the mouth, the wine nonetheless was a nice match at lunchtime to lemon-garlic quail on rice.
